GoOnline.ca Web Design Services
We do any type of web development or website related projects from inception to completion as one-stop service to you. We also provide website administration or update services to businesses and individuals on regular basis for your existing websites or websites we have built. Although graphic art development is not our primary focus, we can also offer, to a certain degree, logo branding solutions to your business (some samples shown below).
Sites for smaller companies or individuals, projects or
brochures whose content will remain fairly static will be
built using standard HTML with the option of adding interactivity
for the user by employing Dynamic HTML (DHTML1), JavaScript
and/or Flash.
A user friendly web based administration interface can be
provided to manage regular updates for the websites content,
as well as news sections.
For dynamic sites, such as online store, we can configure
your site in a way that it is fully integrated with whatever
shopping cart application you may have. Or, with your permission,
we can take care of everything for you from scratch!
Additionally, if you already have a merchant account with
your financial institution, then accepting online credit card
payments is not that difficult.
GoOnline.ca can also develop custom built web (CGI2)
applications written in Perl programming language to automate
various tasks, such as communicating with SQL database systems
and handling HTML form input. We also use PHP scripting language
to create various web automations.
Web applications are the invisible 'back-end' programs that
control an intranet/extranet, an online shop or maybe your
simple guestbook!
All web applications are written from scratch specifically
for the particular project so unlike 'off the shelf' software
it will do exactly what you want, the way you want it.

1 The word dynamic can mean different things in different web-related contexts.
Don’t confuse Dynamic HTML with the idea of a dynamic
web page, which means a web page generated dynamically by
server-side code, such as CGI scripts or PHP pages, before
being served to a visitor. Dynamic HTML, or DHTML, in contrast,
refers to the combination of HTML with a scripting language
that allows you to change style or positioning properties
of HTML elements. Things once considered unchangeable once
the page has loaded, such as text, page styles (font color,
size etc), element position, etc, can now all be changed dynamically,
thanks to DHTML. It brings your web pages one step closer
to how things look inside your television, where images appear
and disappear, text flies in and out, and content move around
freely inside the screen.
2 The Common Gateway
Interface, or CGI, describes a set of protocols through which
applications (commonly called CGI programs or CGI scripts)
interact with Web servers and (indirectly) with clients (e.g.,
Web browsers). These protocols often are used to generate
dynamic web content based on client input. A plain HTML document
that the Web server retrieves is static, which means it exists
in a constant state: a text file that doesn't change. A CGI
program, on the other hand, is executed in real-time, so that
it can output dynamic information. CGI programs can be written
in any programming language and our choice are Perl and PHP.
